Kevin works between figurative and abstract painting and drawing, with forays into sculpture and installation. His first exhibitions in Cairns were in the 1990s, working with Graft’n’Arts and KickArts, followed by an exhibition in Cologne, Germany. He later travelled to India to complete a PhD in Anthropology. Returning to Cairns in the mid-2000s, Kevin exhibited with Upholstery and Crate59 and designed and constructed theatre sets with JUTE and Courage Works. He was commissioned to produce public sculpture for the Cairns Esplanade and won the coveted Blunt Portrait Prize in 2012. His arts residencies have taken him to Spain and Chile. He currently has a studio at Crate59, where he curates and exhibits.
