The Crate 59 artists’ collective is celebrating a milestone anniversary by inviting current and past members and contributors from over the last decade to exhibit together.

The Crate 59 artists’ run initiative was originally founded by Liz Dunn and Kylie Burke in 2009. Located at 59 Sheridan Street, Cairns CBD, Crate consists of ten private studio spaces, which are rented out to artists, and a communal workshop area. It also includes a shared gallery in the front area, shared with Billy’s Café.

Over the last decade, the Crate 59 Gallery has hosted hundreds of contemporary art exhibitions, showcasing emerging and established, local and international artists.

Please come and celebrate one of Cairns’ longest running contemporary arts groups for a night of art and music.
